Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day. Although I didn't have the easiest time getting a great picture. Josiah kept making faces and when I said please give me a nice smile, he said "this is all I've got mommy."

But I did get this picture.

Cardinal Baseball Game

We went to the game on April 30th. It was just the two of us. The kids got to stay with Ma Ma and Pa Pa. We had lots of fun even though it stormed at the game and the tornado sirens went off. At this game they were handing out "sluggies" instead of "snuggies". We got to the game at 5:30pm or so and there were long lines to get them. I'm glad we got there when we did. I'm not sure how many they handed out. We didn't get thru the gates till a little after 6pm. The game started at 7:15.

At the beginning of the game it was cloudy and very muggy. When the storm front rolled in the weather shifted and a cold breeze came thru. It was interesting to feel and watch the difference in the ballpark. The change began at the bottom of the 4th inning.

By the top of the 6th inning it was poring down and there was a pretty light show. The lightning was incredible. The thunder was very loud too. The tornado sirens were going too but it was hard to hear. We were under the tier so we didn't get wet. We did buy ponchos at Target before we got there since we didn't know if we were going to be covered or not. Once the rain calmed down and the sirens weren't still going we left. The game resumed sometime later but we didn't stick around to watch it. We honestly thought it wasn't going to happen.

We used Priceline for the first time and got a room at the Hyatt for a great price. It was nice to just walk a few blocks to end the night. We will definitely use Priceline again.

Resurrection Sunday

Friends of ours were trying to teach Josiah to pose for the camera.

We had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday today. We enjoyed a great service and the weather couldn't have been more perfect!

Josiah's 3rd Birthday

Josiah is now three years old, but he doesn't seem to want to be. When I ask him how old he is he argues with me and says he's two.

Josiah had two cakes. One cake on his actual birthday and one for his birthday party, which was the next day.

We had his party at the Gymnastics studio where Abigail takes classes. It was a lot of fun. As you can see Travis is enjoying himself by taking out his aggression on a church member!

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Connie always does a wonderful job of decorating the church. This Christmas Eve Candlelight service looked especially beautiful I thought. And the music was great. We had a very nice crowd come and participate in celebrating Christmas.

Christmas 2009

We went to Mama and Papa's house a few days after Christmas to enjoy time with them.

Christmas Day was with my family. My parents traveled down from Chicago and my Aunt Brenda and Uncle Jay came up from Carbondale. We had a good time together.

My dad found these wax mustaches at the gas station and he couldn't resist!
