My Birthday Party

I had a wonderful time at my birthday party that was thrown for me. I wrote about it and have pictures up at my Tritzi site. http://tritzi.wordpress.com/

This morning Abigail and Josiah woke up and saw all my wonderful balloons from the party. The kids loved them. Thank you Darrelynn!

Anderson's

Our friends came through to visit us again on their way to Louisville, KY. It's always fun to have them over and I get cute pictures so I have to put them up!

After quite a bit of playing they sat together to watch an old cartoon.

This is Deacon giving Abigail a goodbye kiss!

Our First Fieldtrip

Wray's Fruit Farm in Clay City, IL

We got lost trying to get to the farm. We stopped at a nice house out in the country to get directions. The woman helped me to go in the right direction. The neat thing was she had a pet deer named "Skittles." I've never know anyone to actually have a pet deer before. Abigail and Emma and Josiah loved seeing it. I wish I could have gotten a photo of it!

We learned how to pick an apple correctly. We each got to pick a red apple and a green apple.

The children listened pretty well.

They had to follow the leader since there is poison ivy in some of the trees.

Josiah did really well picking.

He's making sure there are two apples in his bag!

We got to try fresh apple cider. It was really good.

There was a very cute grey and white kitty cat that the girls all loved to pet.

They were shown how the apples are washed and bagged.

Tritzi's Hair Accessories

I have launched into a new world today. Today is the first day I have put up my hair accessories to sell on a website. My site is http://www.tritzi.etsy.com/
I named my hair bows Tritzi's Accessories. The reason is because Tyanne and Ryan, our friends joke about Travis and I being Tritzi; a combination of our names. I thought that would be funny to try and no one else had that as a user name. Shocking!
I don't know how well it will do but I am excited that I finally did it. I only have three up today but hopefully will put more up as I go. I also asked about putting them in a local shop today too. I haven't gotten an answer yet but hopefully it is a positive one! It's kinda scary taking the first step because you don't want to fail miserably but I wanted to try and see if I can't make some extra money to buy books and things for our homeschooling endeavors, which by the way is going well. Abigail likes it and she does well so far. I can see that I will learn more as I go too. I know there will be days that won't be this easy but I am glad that it is not now!

Emma's Birthday Party

Lori and Warren had a wonderful party for Emma's 5th birthday. It was themed so Abigail wanted to dress up as a cheetah. It was not planned to be a dress up party but she wanted to so I made this little outfit complete with ears and tail so she could be a cheetah at Emma's jungle party. I must admit it was fun to figure out how to accommodate.

We played pin the nose on the Lion and Abigail got the closest and won a prize.
Josiah wanted pictures taken at each animal. We forgot to take one at the giraffe. There was a monkey in a tree too.

They had Karaoke and the kids loved that. Josiah and Abigail both were excited about this activity. They made a stage area and everything.

The party was a great success and it was really nice weather to boot. I don't think they could have asked for better weather for the party! It was in the low 70s.
